Longhand Travel (“we”, “us”) is an Australian travel advisory operated by Quintas Pty Ltd trading as Longhand Travel, ABN 14 221 890 898. We take a plain approach to privacy: we collect what we need to plan and book your travel, we tell you where it goes, and we do not sell it to anyone.

What we collect

When you enquire or book with us, we may collect: your name and contact details; the names, dates of birth, and passport details of the people travelling; travel preferences and requirements, which can include dietary, mobility, and health information where it affects your arrangements; payment information, which is handled by our host network and suppliers rather than stored by us; and correspondence between us.

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your name and email address. Our website does not require an account, and we keep tracking to a minimum.

How we use it

We use your information to plan, quote, book, and manage your travel; to communicate with you before, during, and after a journey; to meet legal and supplier requirements, such as passport details for carriers; and, if you have subscribed, to send you our occasional newsletter. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.

Where it goes

Travel is an international business, and your information necessarily travels too. Depending on your booking, your details may be shared with: Fora Travel, Inc., our host network, whose systems process enquiries and bookings; the airlines, rail operators, hotels, tour operators, and other suppliers delivering your journey; and the service providers that run our business, including Google Workspace for email and Kit for our newsletter.

Several of these providers are located overseas, principally in the United States and Canada, and suppliers may be located in the countries you are visiting. By engaging us, you consent to your information being disclosed to these recipients for the purposes described above. Each provider handles your information under its own privacy policy, including Fora’s, available at foratravel.com.

How we protect it

We keep your information in access-controlled systems, share it only with the parties needed to deliver your travel, and retain it only as long as needed for your bookings, our records, and our legal obligations. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell you promptly if a breach on our side puts your information at risk.

Your choices

You can ask us at any time what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete what we are not required to keep.
